First thing you want to do, is to run to the hardware store (Home Depot in my case) and pick up a new Ballast. They should run you about $3 – $5 each. You should match the Ballast to your light fixture. In the case of the one I replaced, its an F14T12 type bulb.Make sure the power is off and the game is unplugged before you do this!
The next thing you want to do is remove the Marquee and locate the ballast in the game. In the case of this game, its located on the left side of the game. You should see two wires coming out of the ballast. One should go to the power, and the other to one of the sockets.
Remove the two screws holding it in place. Careful not to drop the screws inside the game.
Cut the wires as indicated.
Now take your new ballast out and screw it down where the old ballast was.
Splice one wire coming out of the new ballast with the wire on the left, then splice the other wire to the other wire connected to the socket. From what I can see, it doesn’t seem to make a difference wich wire goes to which.I use “Splice Tubes” to splice the wires together. The “Splice Tubes” allow you to insert a wire in each end then crimp them down.

You may want to trim the wires down before you splice them together to make sure you don’t have a lot of excess wire lying around.

You are done. Pretty easy, but if you’ve never done it before, then this might help you get started.
